Melissa Gorga Was Reportedly Upset With The Seating Arrangement At The RHONJ Season 9 Reunion

June 2024 · 2 minute read

Between Margaret Joseph’s blowout fight with Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice’s beef with Jackie Goldschneider, there was no shortage of drama for the Season 9 reunion of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. But long before the ladies almost came to blows, insiders claim that Melissa Gorga threw a huge fit over the seating arrangement.

Insiders say that Gorga was not happy when she found out that she wasn’t sitting next to host Andy Cohen during the reunion. Being one of the oldest veterans on the show, Gorga fully expected to get the best seat in the house, which was ultimately given to Joseph.

“She got downgraded this reunion because she’s usually next to Andy. She was vocally complaining,” an insider dished.

The seating arrangement, from left to right, was Goldschneider, Gorga, Joseph, Cohen, Giudice, Dolores Catania, and Jennifer Aydin. It is unclear why Gorga did not get her usual seat, but it was probably because the biggest source of drama this season was between Josephs and Staub.

According to Reality Blurb, most of the fighting during the reunion happened between Staub and Josephs. Sources claim that the ladies argued over how Staub treated Josephs this season, and that Josephs dragged Aydin into the fight at one point.

As far as Gorga is concerned, she got involved with Giudice’s beef with Goldschneider, who made comments about her husband’s jail sentence and deportation. Sources say that Giudice and Goldschneider did not resolve their differences and fought for most of the reunion taping.

Despite all of the drama, the insider revealed that there were not a lot of tears during the reunion and none of the cast members stormed out. Fans may also be disappointed to know that Staub’s estranged husband, Marty Caffrey, did not make it to the reunion.

Caffrey and Staub ended their marriage four months after tying the knot. Staub claims she left Caffrey because he was emotionally abusive to her daughters, Christine and Jillian.
